Student Data Privacy (SOPPA / FERPA / COPPA)

SoundTouch Interactive develops educational apps used by children, parents, teachers, and schools worldwide.
We take privacy very seriously and design our apps so that they do not collect, store, or share personal information - ever.


We do not collect personal information

Our apps do not:

  • Collect names, email addresses, photos, or birthdates

  • Create or require accounts

  • Track behavior or usage

  • Store student data on servers

  • Sell or share data with advertisers or third parties

There is no analytics SDK, no tracking, and no advertising.

Because we do not collect data, there is no data to access, delete, or disclose.

 

School Edition apps are offline

Several apps are specifically designed for schools and:

  • Operate completely offline

  • Do not communicate with servers

  • Do not load external resources

  • Do not transmit technical or personal data

These versions are available through Apple School Manager (formerly VPP).
 

Required Transparency (SOPPA Compliance)

While SoundTouch Interactive does not collect data, some operating-system actions may cause a device to communicate with third-party services:

  • Apple App Store / In-App Purchase system
    Used when a user restores a purchase or opens one of our app pages in the App Store.
    Apple may receive technical metadata (such as IP address).
    SoundTouch Interactive does not receive or store this data.

  • GitLab (temporary and being removed)
    A few Video Touch apps load a small text configuration file from GitLab.
    No personal data is sent, stored, or accessed.

We never access, store, or share any data transmitted to these services.

 

SOPPA, FERPA, and COPPA compliant

  • No student data is collected

  • No personal data is stored or retained

  • No data is shared with third parties

  • We will sign Data Privacy Agreements upon request

If SoundTouch Interactive ever becomes aware of a data breach involving transmitted technical metadata, we will notify the affected school/district within 30 days, as required by SOPPA.
